Bootcamp is a combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core, and functional movement patterns. You get EVERYTHING you need! In a group setting we will focus on camaraderie and team work. We will push you a little bit further than you would normally push yourself in the gym alone. We will use bodyweight exercises like push ups, squats, suspension training and burpees, interspersed with running and competitive games. The idea is that everyone involved works at their own pace as they team up and work towards one goal, either in pairs, small teams of three or four, or even two teams head on.

READY TO BECOME A TOTAL KNOCKOUT?
A fitness walking class that will include approximately 30-45 minutes of walking at a brisk pace, faster than a stroll but slower than speed walking. We will start and finish at the Recreation Center, completing each class with core strengthening and stretching. We will cover nutrition from the point of view of eating for a healthy lifestyle, including discussions of hot topics such as current trends and fads in eating (soy, coconut oil....what are the benefits? Are there concerns?). We’d like to include some cooking classes that we can do together and share recipes! Our hope is to bring our community together and support each other while getting our heart rates up, improving our cardiovascular system, building stronger bones, increasing our “happy” chemicals in our bodies and engaging in conversation with our neighbors and friends!
